Wisps of SmokeSit and stare As wisps of smoke Obstruct my vision. Ponder What will never beWisps of Smoke
And try, halfheartedly, To see. Never content To be lost in the fog, For it holds uncertainty. Potential danger Within its clutch, Maimed and limping Without a crutch. Never, never clear Until retrospect, Clouded by wisps of smoke. Rest will not envelop me As I sit here, and try To see. Isolated in this vacuum, Static and finite, Trapped in a moment forever. Ebb and flow,
This perpetual haze, Stranding me here,

ReadyGaze into this void, And I see Not emptiness, but potential. Travel in a circle, But I've seen From every perspective now. Watch the tide recede, And I know It will flow, languidly, Again. Glance at the mirror, survey the flaws, Washed out by the glow Of my soul. Descend slowly down, But how else would I find These atrophied wings, always waiting To fly? Sighs drift into the cosmos, But I sigh Not from discontent, but from peace. So sheltered, naive, But my quest is beginning, And I am ready. Pain cannot beReady

The Roller CoasterStand on the platform, Watch the roller coaster Careen across the track Of life. Stomach poisoned with dread, Knowing you must soon Take your turn. Around, around you go, Endless circles, To a destination called nowhere, Anticipation Pumping through your veins. You try to close your eyes, To shut it out, But dizziness prevails, Disorientation overcomes. Going backwards, Always backwards, And diverging on a sudden tangent, But only to gain momentum For the climb. You are soaring at the top, It has all been worth iThe Roller Coaster

The Image of HumanityToday the blind man Saw for the first time, Jumbles of color Taking on coherence, Objects sensed, miraculously, From afar. Today the blind man Glanced into the mirror And saw the glorious Image of humanity staring back, Distorted perfection, As all must learn. Today the blind man Saw black and white, But he saw no contrast, Only pure, harmonious, Radiant beauty. Society a collective vision At once large and small, Short and tall, And colorful, Beautiful. Every person so similar to the last That there was noThe Image of Humanity

Earth A.K.A. PurgatoryLonesome sidewalk burns The feet. Twists and turns Confuse. Bemused Despair consumes; Acidic air assumes Forms unnatural to the eye. Stars fall from the sky To rain glitter and ashes. Sunlight dashes Away to give into the night. Thorned roses echo the plight Of a lover. A baby abandoned by its mother Screeches till the ‘morrow. Sing the sorrow Of an intimate suicide. Feigned truths decide Earth’s fate, The long-awaited date Of eternal slumber. Inky darkness lumbers Towards the sun. The end’s begun. Escape fEarth A.K.A. Purgatory

just a dreamTruth lies in the indifference of pain The truths of lies never seem sane I hear the evil whispers through the darkness far from my sight Speaking words of horror in the darkest depths of night Through the insane whispers I hear a faint scream To soothe my pounding heart I repeat, “It’s just a dream, just a dream, a dream” My faint echo doesn’t fade but grows into a scream “IT’S JUST A DREAM, JUST A DREAM, A DREAM” I fall to my knees holding my ears in deep agony and pain Oh God, am I going insane??? Images of pain and death flash in and out of my head Compared, Hell would be ajust a dream

it's time to face the music, time to turn over a new leaf;
it's time to tell the world to turn a blind eye to their grief.
